Tango & Argentina

TANGO
It starts with the music, the classical compositions of the Golden Age of Tango (1935-1952, roughly contemporary with the big band era). The Bandoneon, that essential concertina instrument in most tango ensembles, wails and warbles, whistles and whispers the sounds of tango. Full of emotion, full of joy, sad stories, rich stories full of life.
Dance washes from the soul the dust of everyday life. Tango Connection and “close embrace”...Two beings connect at the heart, hear the same music, and allow the music to move from their ears, to their heart, and finally to flow down into their feet. Two bodies move as One. That’s the magic of tango.
GAUCHOS of Argentina...
Gauchos are the local cowboys of Argentina. Every spring, they gather from all areas of the country to one place...San Antonio de Areco...to show off their equestrian skills and the colors and patterns of their region, in their ponchos and their flags.
